CUIDAR Childrens Social Skills Groups
Parents participating in the evening COPE parenting groups are eligible to have their 3-5 year old child attend a 10-week social skills group, which runs at the same time as the parenting group. Each social skills group consists of a team of 4-6 well-trained/supervised social skill providers. Each social skills provider has completed trainings, which include lessons on how to give effective commands, how to positively reinforce behaviors, and how to discipline a child. During the social skills group children participate in preschool-like settings, which includes a variety of different activities.
