A Place To Go For Answers

Have you ever wondered whether your preschooler is ready for elementary school? Do you have some concerns about your child's ability to focus on tasks or listen and follow instructions? Is your child exhibiting behavior or discipline problems?

These can be confusing questions for parents. Sometimes it is difficult to tell if your child is developing normally, or if he or she is experiencing a behavior problem that needs to be addressed.

Fortunately, now there is a program you can turn to in Orange County that has the answers - the CUIDAR for Attention and Learning Program. The goal of the program is to help identify children with attention, behavior and/or learning difficulties BEFORE they enter school - and then work on addressing the problems so that the child will have a more successful elementary school experience. The earlier a potential problem is identified and addressed the better it is for your child.

The program is run by a multidisciplinary team of experts from both CHOC and UCI who have expertise in early childhood behavior and learning issues.
